Eira Dos Mouros Ribeiro Treixadura 2015

Portuguese grape called Treixadura, but made in Northern Spain. Pretty floral nose, full bodied & a lemon curd & fresh berry thingy going on. Unique and the kind of thing I want to be discovering. — 6 years ago

It's a 9.5 kind of night. Oh my Dorthy, how I wish we were eating pizza with this. The pasta with fava beans, mushrooms, and prosciutto did us well though. Have to get another bottle of this for future use. — 8 years ago

Vinsanto Santorini Assyrtiko Blend 2005

Partnered this Greek vin santo with a home made chocolate cake and that gave pleasure. The taste is fruity with a clear impression of peaches. Good effort, this wine. — 8 years ago

Complete unadulterated decadence. Rich raisin fruit and toffee. This wine needs to be treated like a single lick of an ice cream cone. To fully appreciate, keep on the tip of the tongue. — 9 years ago

Albesani Vigna Santo Stefano Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2000

BG barbaresco leads the pack. Round, rich, earthy, and full bodied. Great balance for the grape. Black cherry, cedar, and dried fruit. While not a top vintage, a benchmark that’s in its drinking window. St. Stephen will remain... — 6 years ago

A Torna Dos Pasas Escolma Brancellao Caiño 2009

Luis' top red cuvée from his oldest vines of Brancellao, Caiño Redondo, Caiño Longo and Ferrol. Unlike the "regular" A Torna Dos Pasas, the Escolma is aged in new and used French barriques for 1yr and bottle-aged for another 3 years.

Red and black tart berry fruit, backbone of fine tannins and Atlantic/granite minerality.

This is Spanish wine for Burgundy lovers. Amazing.

Browned butter, caramel, toasted pecans. Evaporates on the palette leaving diaphanous notes of caramelized buttery joy. A Chianti masquerading as a sherry. One of the most delicious wines, or liquids for that matter, I've ever tasted. First had from the winery in Tuscany. Will always be a favorite. 2005 vintage — 9 years ago
