Fun and tasting overload at last night's Wine Nerd Herd gathering generously hosted at @Martin G Rivard's wine den. Martin and Christine went above and beyond with fabulous food all night and unrivaled grace for such a large crowd. Thank you again! A special shout out to the many new friends from WNH all of whom I met face to face for the first time last night. The planets aligned to bring so many wine lovers together from all across the country to pop some corks and revel in the moment - enjoying the tasting and each other at one place in time. Truly the kind of evening the wine gods had in mind when fermenting the first grapes. I look forward to continuing a great friendship with you all and meeting again soon. Did someone say New York?? — 8 years ago
The only thing missing from this to give it a 10 is some age...but, as my first (won't be last) monte bello, this was good in so many ways! I'll give more detailed comments when, next time I have it, I can do something besides revel in its deliciousness. — 10 years ago
Mid gold, lychees and rosewater, medium sweet, good acidity, gentle cardamom spice with a long lingering finish.

Lots of terroir
Great wine with short ribs and lamb sliders
Would have gone great with the artisanal cheeses — 10 years ago
Oh baby mama. Dundee Hills with some age. I could sniff, sip, and revel for hours. — 11 years ago
Another revel wines tasting highlight. Sweettart, sunny, gulpable — 12 years ago
That is a Negroni base I will most likely never have again. So pure. Mountain top made in La Fresquière, Méolans-Revel. — 6 years ago
Very interesting! Dry, natural, bright, punchy flavours of strawberry and tart cherry; perhaps slightly cloying at first, but quickly grew on me — 6 years ago
2010. One of my favorites of a recent small scale white Burgundy tasting. The burnt popcorn flavors are just not to everyone's taste. American palates often revel against the oily petrol notes too. This also had some apricot. Got better as it opened up. — 8 years ago

I love Revel Wine's wines. And Brooks is a classic... Always consistent, decently priced, and pairs well with most anything. Great way to start or end the evening. — 10 years ago

Completely awesome; one of the best wines we’ve had in the last year or two. Hits the funky carignan flavors that made us fall in love with natural wine in the first place—but the chardonnay blending takes it to a different, lighter and surprising territory. Drank at the bar at Ops, and then a bottle at the dinnertable, with Ari, Evan and Diana (who had just arrived via Revel scooter, “Love Island” Britishisms in tow). Bushwick (Ridgewood?), NY, July 15, 2019. — 6 years ago
Straight up or on the rocks. This was very smooth. — 7 years ago
2010 drinking very well right now with 7+ years of age. Coca-Cola, leather, black cherries on the nose. Medium acidity. Hint of plum as you would expect from a Merlot. The juiciness has been taken away with age to revel more complexity in the fruit. — 8 years ago
If the swelled bellied orange marmot sat squat atop the cranium of a bellicose, belligerent human representation of a malignant tumor hasn't got your disposition a bit in the dumps, please pass on this wine; you obviously lack the qualities of a thoughtful human being and should stick to wines marketed as domestic dispute. For those of us who prefer life in varied tones, who revel in the complexities and nuance intrinsic in existence: find yourself a bottle of this elegant rose. Subtle, but present. Profound, yet humble. A profile of elegance, an example that all the ugliness vomited out into our lives cannot deny us our simple pleasure in life. — 9 years ago
I wish it wasn't sold out!! Happy birthday Laura! — 9 years ago
Let's talk about this little rockstar. For obvious reasons we love Brooks. 1. Supports our friends over at Revel Wine 2. I don't believe I've had one wine from them I wasn't in lust with. Hadn't had this one before, easy to drink and hits the back of your mouth right where it makes it water. Great mid-week, gonna get laid, wine. — 10 years ago

He described nuance
Well said
Very balanced, silky
Mineral element promised Ce through after two hours
Needed 90 minute decant and relatively high drinking temp
Still, a well made effort ( noting fruit is fading) that I enjoyed with Gene Bicksler at Revel
