2010 Gold Crest Zinfandel

Very close to the Renwood Estate, this complex Zinfandel comes from the Lindsteadt Vineyard. Planted in 1991, the rolling hills offer the grapes a southern exposure. A very complex and slightly feminine example of Zinfandel, Gold Crest offers up a nose that at first is peppery, but finishes with lingering notes of violet and ginger. Holiday spice and vibrant red fruits on the palate are followed by interesting notes of citrus, green pepper and eucalyptus with a mild tobacco leaf finish. — 8 years ago

The fruit produced from the 90 year old D'Agostini Vineyard is elegantly robust. A bouquet of jammy blackberry and bright raspberry, immediately capture your senses. A multi layered matrix of densely packed dark fruit, blueberry and smoked meat dominate the palate, giving way to a core of velvet smooth tannins. 1998 Colheita Port

This uniquely Californian Port was made from the traditional Portuguese varietals grown here in the hillsides of Amador County. Although many producers in California produce Port inspired wines from the Zinfandel grape, we have chosen this traditional approach because of our grower’s conviction in the ability of the Portuguese varieties of Touriga, Alvaraho, Tinta Cao and Souzao to flourish in the Sierra Foothills. Renwood Winery 2013 Jack Rabbit Flat Zinfandel

Strong aromatics of black currant and anise are woven together with crushed raspberry, sweet cream, and hints of cedar. On the palate, the layered complexity of this wine is complimented by its excellent weight and balance, making it a signature Jack Rabbit Flat Zinfandel. Made from true Port varieties, the 2006 Port oozes aromas of black licorice and warm caramel candy. Cooked plums lead the way to fresh dark fruit that rides high on the palate. Excellent balance and fruit sweetness make this wine one for the ages. Alvarahao, Bastardo, Souzao, Tinta Cao, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) and Touriga. 2014 Viognier

With bright fresh fruit backing it's intoxicating fragrance, this is truly a quintessential Viognier. With an elegantly expressive nose of apricot, pear, lemon peel, and honeysuckle flowers dominate while hints of green apple and honeydew waft in an out. Perfectly balanced flavors of lemon-lime, guava, and bubble gum prance across the palate with a long lingering finish of coconut. The flavor profile and acidity of this wine make it perfect for any seafood dish or all on its own.
