Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso IGT

An absolutely amazing complex Italian red - hearty with some spice, earth and mature red fruit notes across the palate that just sing. Simply amazing & well structured that pairs nicely with a meal. Perfecto! — a year ago

Refosco dal Penducolo Rosso 2016

First time with this grape for me. A nice, medium bodied wine with black cherry and fresh Italian prune with its skin dusting. Is that dried orange peel? Something drying. This one is all about Septembers picking these plums from my parents' old tree in the garden. Nothing too complex. I like this. — 3 years ago

Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso 1921

Dark red plum on the nose. Rich deep flavors of black cherry, velvety soft on the tongue, low acidity, a hint of raisin at the end. A real luscious red. — 3 years ago

Ronchi di Gramogliano Friuli Colli Orientali Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso 2017

Superb nose of red berries, leather, quince and some herbal notes. The palate is very well made with a great acid drive, some red berries notes all along, some width but it's rather light and smooth on the mouthfeel. There are some tannins in the rear, a bit dusty and drying and a long fruity and fresh finish that lingers for quite some time. I had never heard about refrosco before and I read that it's pretty confidential. I will make sure to dig into it some more! — 6 months ago
