Malty, long finish, that will stick around tomorrow β 7 years ago
2012. Special selection off of the wine list at Miller Union in Atlanta. The nose and flavor initially had a taste of Cointreau or Blood Orange. β 9 years ago
Great wine for value - very fruit forward, dark cherry, blackberry and plum, with bold flavors and slight sweetness - excellent for every day drinking β 9 years ago
Great. Ended up liking the 2010 and 2011 petite Syrah just a little better on this trip. 2011 petite Syrah was my favorite today. All delicious. β 10 years ago

Timeframe for my Fruit Forward pallet. Dr. Jay Miller -Wine Advocate Staffer rated 98 points

βAny aspiring collectors should add a case of this to their stash. The 2004 Numanthia comes from a different terroir with a different clone of Tinta de Toro. The vines for this cuvee range from 70-100 years of age with tiny yields of 1 ton of fruit per acre. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel followed by 19 months in new French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wine is a glass-coating opaque purple with a killer nose of mineral, pencil lead, wild blueberry, and blackberry liqueur that roars from the glass. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, dense, and already beginning to show complexity within its layers of spicy black fruits. There is immense power, well-concealed ripe tannin, and the well-delineated finish lasts for over one minute. This is a sensational effort which in a perfect world should be cellared for a decade and enjoyed over the following 25+ years. However, the elderly among us should not feel guilty about opening a bottle now. (JM) (2/2007)β β 6 years ago
Perfect pairing. β 9 years ago
Very easy to throw back a few. I much rather drink this than BudLight or Miller lite. π β 10 years ago
The champagne of beers. β 11 years ago
So many flavors, all so complex... And a nice sugary layer that keeps the the tannins quietly at bay... I can finish this in its own!!! β 12 years ago
Wonderful and yet still young. A deep rich beauty. Hope Jim Miller has another bottle we can share in a couple of years. β 7 years ago
3.3. Lush, pale yellow Italian white from historic Fiano grape. Nice minerals with some apricot taste. Gift from Susan Miller, probably about $25. β 7 years ago
Absolutely love his. Earth, mushrooms, funk, sense of place. The acidity lifts and carries this across your palate. @ADAM STROMFELD and @Bob Miller have nicknamed this 'Old Dirty'. β 9 years ago
@Bob Miller ....hubs brought this home and I have been digging his Spanish Reds this summer....nice pick baby!!! β 9 years ago
Nice, crisp and dry. More robust than you'd expect. Steve's recommendation at the Rind! β 10 years ago
The only beer I'll drink that's not landshark or miller lite β 10 years ago
