First time trying a Grenache mouvedre and realized I don't know what I was waiting for! Absolutely amazing and surprisingly dry for having a Grenache grape mixture. — 13 years ago

Dark maroon with just a hint of brick on the periphery. Fig with an overpowering nose of black cherry, fig, menthol, tobacco, and licorice. Soft velvety tannins and full bodied. Red currant and coffee. Balanced yet not overly complex, with a strong finish. Remarkable for table wine. A north coast of note. 91. — 13 years ago
Lovely trip to AmByth this weekend. All of their 2012 wines are already so expressive (and still fermenting in amphorae). Can't wait to try these wines when they are ready! I'll be pouring their 2010 Syrah and 2011 Red Table Blend this Friday at K&L in Redwood City. — 13 years ago
