2010 GD Vajra's ALBE Barolo--structure w such finesse. A theme I find in the majority of the family's wines. This Barolo, structured, yet feminine with a stitch of cherry & violet. Just yum! #certifiablydelish — 9 years ago

Palest salmon/peach colour.
Nose of fresh-cut granny smith apples.
On the palate, mineral, apple skin, stones. Crisp acidity, medium body. Light and refreshing like Ravel water music.

Color is a peachy blush, like Cover Girl from the 90s. Very slight orange tint. I’m drinking this a day old, so fragrance isn’t so pungent: smells like outdoor seating at a white tablecloth restaurant with white flowers, with an elegant woman sitting two seats behind you wearing Crepe de Chine or Amal Goutal— something classic. Also has an undercurrent of Lemonheads (chemical citrus) smell as well. Taste is surprising, not acidic but still dry/not sweet— caramel-like, with peachy strawberry taste and a short finish. Kind of has the taste of a merlot inhabiting a rose. It’s really nice. I often don’t like rose because it’s too sweet or too dry or always somehow tastes too similar... but this one was special. Perhaps one of my faves of the summer. — 7 years ago
Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir. Deep ruby color with bright red fruit and beautiful acid indicative of a cool climate Pinot. Great structure with notes of winter spices, coffee and chocolate. Produced by two of nicest guys I have have ever met, Rich Aurillas and Dave Roberts - both former baseball players and all around good guys. Only 150 cases produced. — 10 years ago
