Fascinating take on vignoles. Bone dry and one of the most tannic whites I've ever tasted. Chilled it was just too harshly structured and lacking fruit. At room temp it blossomed with dried pineapple and apricot. Long and almost gritty finish. Not for everyone. And not going to impressed within 30 seconds. '12, this sparkler displayed lively effervescence of medium-small bubbles exploding with aromas of lemon cream pie, baked bread and yellow apple with smoked almond notes.
