Raspberry and blackberry fruit, with black tea and spice. — 8 months ago
Deep Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, floral notes and spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with cacao, floral, espresso and cinnamon spice. Full-bodied, fine tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, spice and an earthy character. — 8 months ago
This bottle of 1945 Mouton-Rothschild is my fourth encounter and actually showed better than one poured three months earlier that came directly from the château. Ethereal as always on the nose, that distinctive menthol scent is present and correct, and this bottle is perhaps more elegant and almost Burgundian in style. The palate has heavenly balance, quite opulent and velvety, with morello cherry, raspberry preserve, orange pith and a delicate touch of cedar on the never-ending finish. Monumental. Tasted at Koala's 1945 dinner. (Neal Martin, Vinous, May 2020)

On the nose, I pick up musty and but of dust along with strawberry and raspberry. A touch of leather.
It drinks very well. With delicate tannins. Tastes of berry and is fruit forward. More strawberry and raspberry. Slightly dry finish and raspberry lingers on the tongue.
Really great wine and is my favorite PN right now. Serving it with prime rib tonight. — 5 years ago

Someone get me a crazy straw? I could drink this all day. — 10 years ago
Big and bold Pinot! Deep purple/garnet color. Aromas of cooked black berry/raspberry, purple flowers, black licorice and pepper spice. More black cherry and blueberry fruit on the palate with notes of dark chocolate, baking spices and maple. Quite rich, concentrated and viscous. Velvety tannins and moderately low acidity. Big Pinot! — 8 months ago
Light red with translucent edge. Mod acidity and rough tannins. Black Raspberry. — 10 months ago
OMG. All I can say it’s delicious! This wine offers tantalizing raspberry, blueberry, classic briary and spicy flavors with a balance of components for which Seghesio wines are known. — 3 years ago
I mean where’s so much hyped smoke there’s got to be legitimate fire. — 5 years ago
Black raspberry tea, cherry, vanilla, and lavender on the nose. Black raspberry tea on the palate. — 6 years ago
Rhubarb to start, DELICIOUS raspberry to finish. — 7 years ago
Really, really dark. All berries on the nose with a hint of coffee. It's got a nice, full body with tastes of vanilla, oak, and chocolate. I'm getting some raspberry and black cherries. It's very rich and of course, Big and Bold. Fruitbomb is the word to use. The finish is a bit too sweet for my tastes. Sometimes too much so but still pleasing. This wine was made to be mass-marketed and for easy drinking and it succeeds in that. — 8 years ago
A nice wine with an enticing aroma. Slightly jammy with a hint of smokiness and a delightful hint of raspberry jam. — 9 years ago
Recommended to me from this site. It was stellar. Lush red raspberry, rich cassis and bright currants to add acidity. I loved this wine. Can't wait for the Chardonnay! $45 / 92pts — 11 years ago
I took one whiff and a taste of this and remembered why I love CdP. Red and black berries, earthy, dried herbs, raspberry and coal dust. 60% Grenache; 20% Mourvèdre; 15% Syrah and 5% other permitted varieties Has depth and flavour but does it at just medium bodied. I didn’t realise I had a bottle in mid June 2023. I normally try to spread them out a bit. — 8 months ago
Brilliant ruby. Smoky, mineral-tinged aromas of raspberry, cherry preserves, garrigue and exotic spices show excellent clarity and acquire a gamy nuance as the wine opens up. At once rich and energetic in character, offering well-concentrated red berry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors and a sweetening touch of candied lavender. Shows fine definition and finishes gently, spicy and impressively long, with repeating florality and steadily building tannins. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, October 2021)

Really good Pinot Noir with tastes of cherry and raspberry. Medium bodied, more fruit than earth. — 6 years ago
Over 30 years ago, Jack Cakebread came to photograph the Napa Valley for a book, one thing led to another and he found himself making an offer on the vineyard that later became Cakebread Cellars. Wonderful fruit aromas with soft spice notes. Cherry and raspberry flavors with black tea spice, pepper and mineral tones. Fine tannins, great mouthfeel and balance. Give this more time to develop. — 7 years ago
Deep reddish/purple color which has me on guard relative to Pinot. Worried that darker than lighter raspberry red has had Mega Red or other manipulation but this Pinot just has concentrated character. Varietal rose petal and cherry notes in aromas. You can see the broad influence from the 3 appellations that comprise the wine. Weighty on the palate without being too over bearing for the varietal. Great accompaniment to the saffron broth salmon this evening. — 9 years ago

We opened the 2016 La Rioja Alta S.A. Viña Ardanza Reserva. This is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha from La Bastida, Spain.
On thr nose there was cherry, plum, strawberry, black currant, anise, leather, herbs, baking spice and forest floor.
On the palate was cherry, raspberry, strawberry, herbs, baking spice, balsamic and anise.
This wine is medium to full bodied with a silky mouthfeel medium+ acidity and medium to medium + fine supple tannins that lead to a long red fruit forest floor finish. Welcome to another weekend and I hope everyone has great plans with wine in mind. Please enjoy the weekend and please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 7 months ago
