A fantastic, serious wine and a fantastic deal. Really classic Morey st Denise. An enchanting and intoxicating nose with dark fruit, sweet earth, meaty notes, bay leaf and thyme; a hint of leather and game, maybe eucalyptus or amaro and an ethereal undercurrent of natural woods, woodsy without oaky or vanilla notes. Powerful, Round, rich, silky and savory on the palate. Not at all opulent but just in a great window with some resolves tannins despite still having a strong tannic spine. Baking spices followed by Sweet earth and sandalwood dominate a long finish. With air, also get a long dark cherry note, maybe some chocolate covered cherry. Deeper and more exotic savory notes. SIlky, plush and an earthier expression of a chambolle. Serious, and maybe even sexy ;-) — 6 years ago

Not sublime or mindbending, but really satisfying and slick. I can't imagine anyone disliking it. — 10 years ago

Rich, warm, medium/full body. Floral, honey, apple and pear. An all time fav. — 6 years ago
You need to give this bottle time - at least 60-90 minutes. Opened extremely flat but turned around to a classic BEaux Freres with great blackberry and floral aromas — 8 years ago
Hallmark Willamette Valley Pinot with some backbone. Well structured and great representation of Beaux Freres style without quite the finesse and finish of the name labeled, but about half the price tag. (Great with homemade black truffle pasta!) — 9 years ago
Baked cherry, cinnamon, baking spice, leathery, med body, oak, decent lingering tannins. — 9 years ago
Amazing chenin blanc, 15 years old but vivid, lovely — 10 years ago

Currently a bit muted upon opening, the 2011 Beaux Freres ‘Willamette Valley’ Pinot Noir needs more than a one hour decant prior to enjoying at this juncture. Once aroused this awakens to beautiful citrus tones and red fruit aromatics that build in the glass. The palate shows a really good texture and roundness with delicate pomegranate seed, red cherry candy and blood orange flavors that entice. There his a good elegance to this lighter style Pinot Noir. Drinking nicely now, this has another six plus years of life left. Drink 2019-2026- 92 — 6 years ago
Complex for the price. Easy drinking — 8 years ago
Lovely acid and interesting blend. Mixture of red and blue fruits, very nice change of pace. — 9 years ago
Bright cherries, strawberries, raspberries, red & pink florals, light fine sweet minerals with gritty chalk, touch of cinnamon and light spice, light body and easy to drink. Not a lot of structure but still very fruity and refreshing. This is only available in Switzerland and perhaps northern France. Big thanks Jeffry for sharing. — 9 years ago
Earthy/woodsy spice, dried red fruit, and a bit of animal musk on the nose. Smell reminds me of autumn in the woods. Much brighter fruit on the palate. Tart cranberry, appleskin, raspberry. Hint of clove on the finish. This is exactly what i was hoping it would be — 9 years ago
