Good 3/4 full body, nice collection of berries and cherries. What's not to like! Very surprised about low cost too. Mind you ...drinking this in Portugal makes a difference — 7 years ago
Made only in exceptional years, an excellent example of the Touriga Nacional grape, deep red color with black fruit aromas, aged for 12 months in new and used French oak. On the palate blackberry and black cherry flavors with herb notes, and vivid acidity, and oaky notes. The finish is about medium, fine tannins and great structure which will age well for a decade. — 8 years ago
Sophisticated white. I had no idea that white Dao was even a thing. 2007 vintage. — 8 years ago
Meaty, earthy, tobacco and dark fruit notes. Soft yet powerful tannins and high alcohol. Great wine — 8 years ago
So smooth & drinkable. This was purchased as a gift for me from Portugal. This delicious & high quality makes me want to visit there myself. — 9 years ago

The wine continued to get better over the course of dinner. It had a lot more fruit than I would have expected for a European wine even though it was a Syrah. — 9 years ago
Sweet black fruit, med-full. Pick of the litter today! — 9 years ago
Surprisingly nice. Stewed fruit, port-like, aromatic, med+ tannin, med acid, med+ alcohol, mineralogy, rustic, gunflint, cherry, smoke, black pepper. Thought it might be a Rhone — 9 years ago
QPR extraordinaire — 10 years ago
Excellent start to a great first day in Porto. This older white port delivered a ton of mild rich barrel character and honey character without too much sweetness. — 7 years ago

Just amazing new wine from Quinta do Vale Meao and winemaker Xito Olazabal, this pure and mineral-driven Touriga Nacional shall not be missed. Floral, violet hints, great depth, juicy acidity, stunning grip and fruit for balance, this youngster has stuffing to age easily 20 years. — 10 years ago
