I prefer regular Sculpin, but it's still a pretty stellar beer — 10 years ago
A true classic, first ever IPA brewed in San Diego, my all time favorite place for IPA's holds up pretty well after 20 plus years, nice citrus and tropical notes, less of course than current IPA's, but overall solid IPA, and as I said it is a classic, if you in SD, and are a beer Geek, it is a must to try, esp on tap, have a growler filled up right now, excellent brew — 10 years ago
Not a wine but a pretty good beer — 11 years ago
Very smooth beer with low hoppiness but tastes like it gets flat fast. Over all, pretty good taste in bitter. — 11 years ago
Sampling for next week — 11 years ago
Biased cause it's my birthday beer. — 11 years ago
Pretty hard to find a better mass produced beer in Australia. — 11 years ago
Fantastic! Abbey Quadruple. — 12 years ago
Lovely Saint Winefride is back, signaling the end of winter! — 12 years ago
A delicious IPA - probably the hoppiest European IPA I've tasted. Wish I'd bought more while in Brussels. Also included Citra hops like the high-quality Pale Ale Citra from Brouwerij de Molen. — 10 years ago
This beer was REALLY light and pretty interesting/delicious. At 3.6%ABV, I could drink this all afternoon. — 10 years ago
This beer promises a lot up front in terms of nose and initial flavor that it ultimately fails to deliver. Fresh rubber, cherries, metallic bitterness. It just needs more body and some sweetness to balance things. It's not a $24 a bottle beer. Still glad I had it. — 10 years ago
Good okie IPA. One of the best things about local beer is freshness, and this one has it. Canned w/in the last few weeks. — 10 years ago
I loathe farmhouse beers mostly. This was fucking awesome. — 11 years ago
Worlds first pale ale? Pretty good all round beer , dark and refreshing, good post bball after wiping the courts, — 11 years ago
Pretty serious 'beer'. 17.3% so it's kind of like a wine. — 11 years ago
Nicely underwhelming with the fruit. Lots of acidic cut, modestly sour. Pretty great. — 11 years ago
Pretty much everything I want in a beer (or wine for that matter), light, tart, refreshing, delicious. — 11 years ago
This beer and the Icelandic pale ale are pretty good — 12 years ago
Pretty light, very drinkable Pale Ale. The main flavor is hops, but this would be a great easy-drinking beer on a warm day. — 10 years ago
Knee Deep Lupulin River. Huge passion fruit nose that carries through with pine and just enough malt to balance things. Great beer. — 10 years ago
If you're a dark chocolate lover, then this beer is for you. Bittersweet chocolate flavor is almost heavy and overpowering, but surprisingly it works and it's pretty damn good. One of few things from Texas I like. — 10 years ago
My heart still belongs to the Peeper, but this is pretty damn good. — 10 years ago
Cool Scottish beer. Super walnutty, fine texture with a bitter coffee thing going on. Pretty fantastic with cheese. — 10 years ago
Very well done Scotch Ale, if this is your style brew, this is a "A" beer, not as good as I&G but pretty close, price is much less as well — 11 years ago
I was slightly disappointed by this much talked about and praised IPA in the beer community, I like it, and think it had some nice things going for it, but I was not blown away like many are by this beer, nice middle of the country hops and well balanced malt , citrus, very pleasant and subtle, not in your face or palate IPA, 5.9 % ALC/VOL do not taste any of that, very good starter IPA for first timers, defiantly different then the West Coast IPA's I will keep this on hand and give more time to grow on me, only want to give more time because so many are big fans, will re review if something changes, — 11 years ago
Bright English - very nice — 11 years ago
Very good IPA. Floral and supper hoppy, but nicely balanced. — 12 years ago
Great Belgian-style ales across the board, and I will give a good deal of credit to their proprietary yeast strain, which is not overly spicy, fruity, medicinal, etc but shows all these elements in modest amounts, seems to attenuate pretty fully giving relatively crisp, dry renditions of their styles (though it does sometimes result in borderline over-carbonated, overly foamy beers), and is complemented in this beer by a very subtle but very effective hop profile, which contributes no bitterness but runs seamlessly into the spicy and floral flavors from the fermentation. — 12 years ago

Very nice aged sour from Sam Adams. Fruity start, lower carbonation than I expected, pretty smooth overall, though maybe missing something on the finish. — 10 years ago
