Let me preface this by saying that I am immeasurably impressed by the entire Delectable IT department for accomplishing an algorithm capable of accurately identifying this as a picture of Clos Ouvert's La Grande Vie Dure carmenere. Beyond that I'm not sure I have much to say other than the fact that this was super-spritzy at first but after a bit turned into what I'd never have guessed for anything other than some kind of syrah, bacon and all. — 10 years ago
Fabulous wine from Page (most are). Dusty, dark, tannic throughout. Currant & cocoa are lovely. Would pair wonderfully with a juicy steak, Gorgonzola mushrooms or an onion dip. Great to sip on its own or have with any number of meals. — 10 years ago

I have to preface this by saying that we drank this wine during an incredible meal...so, the rating might be above what it normally would be. It has a cherry nose, berry flavor and a light finish. Very standard Pinot. Here's the cool part: you can only get this wine at Lola in Cleveland, OH. Why? Because Liz Symon produces it. — 10 years ago
