Family party, so truncated notes. This is very unique. Nose has bright sugar plums (yes), and a resinous warm caramel note. Rich, sweet, but balanced with nice acids, it finishes long and pure. Truly a dessert in a glass. A big thank you to my brother for toting this back direct from Le Marche! — 7 years ago

First enoteca in Rome. Great Rosso blend. Sweet licorice smell. Candied dried berries. Slightly jammy. Medium tannins. I’m happy — 8 years ago
A specialty dessert wine from the area in Italy where my grandparents were born. It's a mixture of reduced fermented sour cherry fruit and local Lacrima wine. Nose is sweet and yeasty and mossy. In the mouth, it's got vibrant, zingy and ripe cherry syrup fruit with a cheese rind element and full body. The acidity carries the unique sweetness. — 8 years ago

Приобрёл для сравнения с La Fenice Squinzano. Очень здорово, именно то, что надо:) Чернослив, черешня, какао в аромате, чернослив и сливочность во вкусе. — 6 years ago

Basically the house brand at Il Pozzo, the bottle in-restaurant was like $22. Drinks fantastically; beautiful ripe fruit, soft tannins, just a happy happy wine. — 10 years ago
My favorite sub region of chianti. Nice brisk acidity. Still needs a few years but great with regional Tuscan food. — 10 years ago
So it's not a Sangiovese blend but it's all I could find that was closest.
Amazing. Really loved it. Very well balanced and full bodied Chianti. Velvety finish. Good spice. — 7 years ago

Last evening at Il Pozzo. Epitomized Sangiovese: Cherry, flowers, surprisingly feisty tannins, and some dust. A joyous partner for our Bistecca alla Fiorentina. — 10 years ago
Floral but with an earthy balance. — 10 years ago

Earthy and juicy. Perfect for pizza with eggs and black truffles. — 11 years ago
