Petit Chablis Franc de pied. It is a pure chardonnay. The vines dates pre-1923 and it resisted to phylloxera due to the composition of the soil where they were planted: clay loam soil.

Deep ruby, bilberries and blackcurrants then, on the palate, tannic, oaky notes bob up. Fortunately these dissipated as we enjoyed the wine with our meal.
Made in the seriously hot year, 2003, by very young vignerons who continue to impress!
