CC Gran Selezione. Needs a full day’s aeration to move from high-toned to full-on freight train of raspberry, sage, summer savory and saddle shop. Tremendous grip and length; superfine tannins. Superior. #poggioalsole #casasilia #chianticlassico #granselezione — 8 years ago
Balanced and more full bodied than other Chianti Classico wines I've had. Vintage is ready to drink. Started out of the bottle great and improved even more with time in the glass. — 11 years ago

Located in the village of Poboleda, province of Tarragona, winery dates back to the 19th century. A blend of 35% Garnacha, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Carinena & 10% Syrah, aged in French oak (90%) & American oak (10%) for 12 months. Dark berry aromas with juicy spicy scents. Cherry and raspberry flavors with leather & cacao on ripe tannins, great mouthfeel. Lingering finish, ending with mineral notes. Great now. — 9 years ago

Drinking lovely! This producer holds back their wines until they feel ready to release, this 1980 is a current release! Still showing fruit, leather and "crispness" as the Portuguese would say. — 11 years ago
Full-bodied, paired with ravioli and marinara — 11 years ago
