Very refreshing — 10 years ago
Zippy alcohol and acidity with a light body. Smells like pure cherries but taste is all spice and tobacco. Took awhile to open up but very much enjoyed. — 10 years ago
A perfect PG with the requisite bright apple and nectarine flavors a a smooth honeyed finish. Exquisite when paired with Chinese food. — 11 years ago
Super complex yet elegant beauty of a Zin. Balance, complexity, depth, elegance. Gorgeous. — 11 years ago

I wouldn't consider this to be a "big" wine., but nicely balanced. Bright and fruity, some oak flavors, vanilla, mocha, and some pyrazine bell pepper aromas. — 9 years ago
Bold fruity with hints of spice — 9 years ago
Nice wine. Probably not the 94 that it has received in the press — 9 years ago
Went to Lodi and found a great Napa Valley Merlot! — 10 years ago
On the first day open, it was kinda disjointed and woody. Lots of bacon and smoke covering unmistakably concentrated fruit. On day 2 it got more savory and herbal. Now on day three the fruit is gorgeous -- ripe but not jammy. Minty-menthol herbal note with spice and great structure. This is why reviewers who base scores on one 90-second encounter can't be trusted. #lodiwine #snoothvt — 10 years ago
Phinney does it again with this delicious blend! Somehow managed to capture the essence of Spain. Fruit forward, great dark red fruits with a poppy and succulent mouth feel. Very clean finish low-tannins makes for a very enjoyable bottle. — 10 years ago
Great, fruit-forward Zin
From Fields: A classic example of what Lodi does best! A gorgeous reserved style of Zinfandel, this wine offers bright and concentrated blackberry and black cherry aromas, with smoky, spicy notes and a velvet smooth texture. There is a bit of Carignane and Petite Sirah for added color, spice and finesse. — 11 years ago
Slightly bubble; well-balanced — 12 years ago
Very deep purple color with ruby hues. On the nose: a bit of minerals, dark red fruit jam and pepper. Taste: medium tannins, a bit dry with hints of dried black cherries, plum and cracked black pepper. Good value. — 8 years ago
Nice full concert with the lighter instruments. Loved it because it takes you on a journey down the fields, across the river and through the woods. — 9 years ago
Ive had this wine experience several times now, and every time I think 98 pts. Tonight I stole the last half a glass from my lady. Yum! — 9 years ago

Herbal, red fruit, structured goodness. The best Syrah (in this case Shiraz) I've had from Lodi. 47yo own rooted vineyard with a fun history — 10 years ago

Pretty full bodied Pinot, dark cherry, hibiscus, horse Saddle leather, still can taste the cowboys denim, probably Levi wranglers he was wearing. Tight tight behind. * unzips pants while thinking of cowboys.* — 8 years ago
