Surprising blend which does not lack in body or flavor, and makes a great deal for the price. Love it as an everyday (good!) table red. — 11 years ago
The wine described is not the wine I consumed. Read the label not the description. Very good great color big rich texture Another excellent example of a 2001 vtge from Italy — 9 years ago

Exceptionally rich yet nervy, Lohsa 2013 Morellino di Scansano is certainly cut along the local Sangiovese lines of this DOCG but this is cut of a finer woolen and fragrant cloth true to the Poliziano house whose handsome strength comes through in savory spiced cherries and al dente tannins. A wine to serve with wild boar or crispy duck. — 9 years ago
Deep caramel color. Aromas and flavors of honey, apricot reduction, hazelnuts, caramel, orange marmalade, fresh baked shortbread. Full bodied, almost syrupy. Acidity is just shy of where I'd expect it to be but still a delightful desert wine. Very long finish, at least 20-30 seconds! — 10 years ago

Very enjoyable with a steak, and ever so slightly chilled on a hot day. Balance is perfect. — 8 years ago
