Nice minerality and citrus notes that ride bright acidity (poetic note/ cliche mode). Good stuff and starting to round. — 9 years ago
This is the Cuvée Clos Prieur Bas. @Andrew Schirmer says Roty's wines have "rustic purity". I thinks that's poetic and correct. This ones certainly out performs a "village wine". My only quibble is PVR. — 10 years ago
Holy f***. This is unbelievable. Beautiful golden color and current vintage. Poached pear, tangerine and chopped walnut--and strangely enough, an almost garlicky note. Palate is a burst of flavors alternating between green mango, yellow apple and kumquat. Juicy, round, with a slight oily texture and driven by a wonderful streak of acidity. Paired magically with fresh pasta + pesto. Totally waxing poetic. The kicker: $15 retail. Umm...😍 — 10 years ago

Wow - apparently 08 was a damn good year.....a get a little bit of smoky flavor on it - but this wine goes down like a girl on prom night.....so delicious. Well rounded. Tannins are poetic - not too powerful, just right and the finish makes my pork rib dinner 10 times better than it is — 10 years ago
Hard to describe without getting poetic but was awesome with roasted veggies with black truffle. — 11 years ago
Absolutely amazing -- at $35 a bottle for a gal who usually can afford $10 i am buying 3!!!!! If you love a smooth red this is to die for !!! — 12 years ago
Electrifying, poetic — 13 years ago
My man Dollars timed the split bottle to perfection. This one got fight, heart, and poetic sensibilities. — 9 years ago
Sincerely hard to believe this wine came from Washington. Deep and complex, it reminds me of classic Burgundy. It has notes of earth, soil, decaying underbrush, Asian spices, and dark berries. This wines aroma is beautiful and poetic. Simply stunning and a must try. — 10 years ago
Nice pair with steaks on a Tuesday night while @Philip Carpenter was waxing poetic on the virtues or Santa Barbara County during a Twitter wine chat. Join in to #WineStudio next Tuesday at 6pm PST to connect with Dan Kessler of Kessler-Haak and with Mr Tercero himself, Larry Schaffer, at the same time on Feb 23rd. — 10 years ago
Indeed a poetic prosseco. 2013 vintage. — 10 years ago
Every bit as limpid as another such Riesling born yesterday and yet there is a deft penetrating mineral here to use that poetic license -that refreshes like water but lingers in a pear honeysuckle scented finish which despite its water weight consumes ones whole bulb! — 10 years ago
Darioush is a class act. Darius II is their top of the line. Agreed that it is expensive, foreign demand probably contributes to it. Regardless, this is a beautifully crafted , poetic, Napa cab that is drinking beautifully now. Could last another decade or two easily.

Madre mia. Waited 3 years for allocation on the mailing list, and our first taste of Rhys: every day of waiting was worth it. For a wine this hard to get, tons of reviews here. Maybe like everyone who saw the velvet underground in their prime was inspired to start a band, everyone who tastes a Rhys Pinot is moved to wax poetic. @ Community Table in Washington, CT — 11 years ago

Just when I thought the blackberry fruit roll up was going to unfold, it took a sharp turn towards pine needles and forrest floor. Felt like a different glass after every pour. Poetic! — 11 years ago
1901 planted Mohr Fry Marian's vineyard Zinfandel made by St.Amant #lodilowdown2013 bottled poetic history. — 12 years ago
I've never tasted a white wine like this before. Peas and carrots and butter and pepper. I'm not even being poetic here. — 13 years ago
This a really nice wine! I drink each vintage and it's fairly consistent. I paired this Vermentino with an angel hair pasta, bathed in an infused truffle cream and mushroom sauce. All of a sudden my humble California abode felt like I was in Sardinia, Italia! Wine can do that! Isn't that why we love it? BEST with food, warm weather and friendships. Waxing poetic is easy after a few glasses of this beauty. And it's a value play! — 9 years ago
There are these moments in recorded music where something gets reissued today from like the 70s or 80s on a crisp new vinyl press. Nobody's seen the original because it's so damn rare. And the recording just fucking bumps so hard and the soul of the music is so deep, from the ages when synths and sample banks were too far off to care about. Ya, this. This is the one. Don't be afraid to drink this today. You will be rewarded with soul. It will be difficult to return to trap hats and people with no talent feeding you meaningless poetic dribble. And my apologies to Amass, we put you up against this. Unfortunately this wine won in the end by a long shot and the 30 chefs in your kitchen were all slain by 3 generations of farmers working side by side. — 9 years ago

Waxing poetic while we anticipate the release of the STUNNING 2014 Sauvignon Blanc. The 2012 isn't as crisp as its little sister, it's more..... Exotic, experienced, well aged. The tiniest touch of French oak shows, and accentuates the lush notes of peach & apple. Full disclosure: I'm biased, I love Philippe Melka, I love Oakville, I work here. 🙌🏻 — 10 years ago

Why am I such a shitty collector? My friends at Quilceda Creek ship me three cases.... Don't leave it in the cellar and drink it 10 years from now... No... Microwave the wife's ziti and crack a bottle... My God this is good... I could wax poetic; or simply wife... MY FAVORITE WINERY FOR A REASON!!! — 10 years ago
Oh my heavens. I could wax poetic about Vietti all day. Violets and crushed purple roses jump out of the glass, followed by tart bramble fruits, high acid, and gripping tannins. Nebbiolos smell like the Deep South in summer: wisteria and hot asphalt. — 10 years ago
The waxing poetic. Sanguis made an amazingly brooding, dark, and unctuous wine. This had to open up to layers and layers of wood and leather complexity with pure blackberry jam undertone. Perfectly integrated. — 10 years ago
Heavy flavors, yet playful and poetic — 11 years ago
2006, great wine, just right. 14.1% light, poetic clean. A real pleasure, from the French family who took a chance in the new world . — 13 years ago
