Very bright wine with power character. It is fantastic wine with notes of dark fruites and berries, pepper and cinnamon, chocolate and coffee, wet earth and minerals. Light note of honey in aftertaste. — 8 years ago

The more I drink it ... The better — 9 years ago
This 20 year old wine is surprisingly accessible upon opening but evolves in a couple of hours where it really expresses its complex aromas and velvety tannins. Intense barrel smoke, tobacco, black cherry and leather on the nose. Exceptionally balanced, especially as it opens up. This wine is the text book definition of an aged Brunello - full bodied, smooth, luscious, bold, rich black fruit flavor. Finishes nice... lasting structure. This wine is at it's peak, enjoy it now, as I do. — 10 years ago

Sangio from Tuscany purchased at Wine Club in SF as part of pre-travel research. At $20, this is one of the Tuscans we've liked best thus far. — 10 years ago
