Very nice aglianico. Dry. A little barn-yardy. Some cherry fruit. Not an easy drinking crowd pleaser but I think that’s what I like about it. With food. Dig it. — 7 years ago
Nice to have a dryer prosecco. Well balanced sweetness. Faint pear notes. — 8 years ago
A lot of citrus in the aroma but the flavor is more green apple and peels. Very very fresh and I like this one a lot. — 9 years ago
From Coda di Volpe rosso grape, both fruity and savory due to a little skin contact I'm guessing. I want this with some salty southern Italian pizza! Only bottled in magnum, like his Bianco & Rosso. — 10 years ago
Dark and intense for a Dolcetto ... and divine! Thanks to Giardino da Felicin :)

1967... this bottle nearly brought tears to my eyes. It was absolute perfection. The nose was strong and poised, offering an tobasco core, strong olive juice notes, with pepper and savory spices but this ethereal sweetness that just makes you return for another whiff. This just kept giving and giving - layer upon layer of complexity. The body was absolutely wonderful with medium - acid and completely fully integrated tannins. This had a slightly balsamic feel to it (of course) and pairing with a vine ripened tomato and salt was out of this world. This was an incredible bottle and one which I will not easily forget. — 6 years ago
Great 2006 Il Giardino De Le Piazzole. 50% Chardonnay 30% Pinot 10% Trebbiano 5% Grechetto 5% Malvasia.
Lots of oak and very well integrated by now. Character & balance. — 8 years ago
This is a surprising red. Surprising because it sparkles with a slight effervescence reminiscent of a rosé but with a much less mineral presence. It is deep ruby red which belies how light and refreshing it is. If you haven't seen this and want a great brunch wine or even a light red dinner wine, try it. — 9 years ago
This is one of two tranquillo or still Proseccos that I have tasted. Lemon and wet stones on the nose, round mid-palate (10% Chard, 90% Glera) with some stone fruit, decent acidity with a very long tart citrus finish. Very pleasing. — 11 years ago
Great wine with lovely flavors plus a surprise from long islands — 12 years ago

Drinking with Stan and Claire and Vivi. Nicely Orange in color. Muddled Tamarind and packaged mandarin. Soft wood smoke. Complex and interesting. Mildly boozy. Kombucha. — 7 years ago
Purple to deep red on the edges. Strong & Gentle best describes this d'Abruzzo. Dark ripe plum, balanced acidity & tannin. Enjoyable — 8 years ago
It's an alive and living Greco di Tufo, produced with metodo ancestrale. The smell is amazing, fruity, marmalade and ginger. In the mouth is extremely fresh and rich, peach tea, sweet and sour and gently effervescent. A niche and rare wine! So happy to have tasted it — 9 years ago
