Wow this gets petrol-y, like Riesling. Pretty delicious, Alvarinho with a touch of age. Anselmo Mendes is the man. — 12 years ago
A good and one of the best Alvarinhos available, made by the great Vinho Verde producer Anselmo Mendes. a fresh, dry crispy version with a slight concentration and oak character. Delicious stone fruits note with white flowers and spicy bite. 😋 — 13 years ago
Light, fruity flavor. Perfect for what I was looking for! — 8 years ago
Very nice intense with a good finish. Paired well with the lamb. 4/18 — 8 years ago
A virtuosic wine, distinctive and too good, too serious and too ambitious. Just too much quality for most people. — 8 years ago

This is absolutely priceless as a starter wine. For people who are not sure if they like red wine and want to try something that doesn't require much of an acquired taste. It is sweet but not overwhelmingly so, and imminently drinkable. — 10 years ago
Paired with fajitas, nice, dry frizzante. Tart but with acidity. A fun wine! — 10 years ago
We loved this one. Easy red with soft tannins. — 11 years ago

2001 Tenuto dell' Ornellaia Masseto merlot. Drank during date night at Vincenti. Decanted about an hour before drinking, but it was still massive. It was a gorgeous wine though- full bouquet of fruits and rich tannins. Loved it! — 10 years ago

These guys have been making Grappa since 1885 and that's what they do first and foremost. They use their decades old relationships to secure the best pulp and then age their spirit in oak barrels, which gives the golden tint to the coloring and adds a smoothness and a roundness that is unlike any Grappa I've ever had. Grappa is not by any stretch on my go to list for sipping spirits. But this makes a good case to be considered. — 8 years ago
