This is it: my favorite wine of the year (so far). Wonderfully oaky but balanced. Our server's suggestion. Now, if I could only find an importer. Summer 2013, Pisa. — 12 years ago

This is a clone of Sangiovese between pisa and sienna Prunolo gentile they started to introduce international grapes merlot Cabernet Sauvignon has a distinct terroi that is what these wines are about Tuscany fresh herbs mushroom gentile prun reminescen of Nebbiolo very fine and smooth refined very smooth and silky with layers of nuance earth spied and a long gentle vintage. Finish 35+. They used to treat the wines of Tuscany the same as the piedmont wines so new oak which does not work well with Sangiovese so they have learned and changed their style so no new oak in these wines today — 12 years ago
