Fantastic super Tuscan in the beginning of its window. Grip and tannins are still there but very well integrated. Classic Italian nose and taste profile of dried herbs, leather, on a backbone of dense red and black fruit. Brings the funk, as it should, and a great find at the Weston rd Lcbo — 9 years ago
Really quite fine. Subtle melange of red grapefruit pith, honeydew, kiwi, and underripe papaya. There's a methol-herbaceous veneer across the wine, but none of the obnoxious asparagus water or jalapeño notes that characterize more clumsy pyrazine management. While the 14.5% alcohol will be too much for some, there's a great texture that comes from it. And hey, there are more than a few vintages of the Cotats and a few Dagueneau wines that are 14%+...Just a pillow of low toast, well-integrated oak and creamy (malo?) texture. I weirdly could maybe use more oak because of how vibrant the fruit is... — 9 years ago
Enjoying this great bottle of Ch. Grand-Pontet 1998 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé with Steve & Ashley Mandy at Restaurant Colette, Lincoln Rd. Miami Beach — 10 years ago
Delicious and balanced cab. Slightly berry but mostly just grapes doing what they do best, giving me a delicate pillow of a classy ass buzz. Pairs well with sailors and other fine folk. — 10 years ago
Another favorite wine from Molinos, in Salta, Argentina. — 8 years ago
2006 Liger- Bel Air La Romanee Burgundy. Date night at Rd. Decanted 30 min before leaving and decanted again at table. Def got better in the glass as it is so young. K noted to decant for a couple more hours next time. — 8 years ago
Medium/heavy body, light tannins, cherry, medium acidity — 10 years ago
There is both a power and a subtlety to this that is so enticing. This is both a meat juice and a pillow. — 10 years ago
Very nice smooth and flavorful. Pairs well with veal parmigiana. — 10 years ago

Just released! 2014 single vineyard chard from McLean Creek Rd in OK Falls, only 412 cases produced. On the nose, floral w dried herb aromas, mineralogy on palate, fresh, lively. 100% French oak, 27% new. — 9 years ago
Interesting wine- Pomelo and a slight tropical fruit. Round, medium palate of unripe green apple and minerals. Paired nicely with smoked paprika spiced ratatouille and polenta. Would not have guessed a Sauv Blanc when first opened. — 10 years ago
Wild fermented and without filtration, just beautiful — 10 years ago

Okay, how many 100% Petit Verdot's can you remember???? French style nose opens massive plum and cherry flavors. After all that one word defines this wine "soft"!!! It's like laying your head on a soft pillow after a long day, if that makes any sense at all. Trinchero should be really proud of this wine and for taking a risk! — 8 years ago
