Fantastic super Tuscan in the beginning of its window. Grip and tannins are still there but very well integrated. Classic Italian nose and taste profile of dried herbs, leather, on a backbone of dense red and black fruit. Brings the funk, as it should, and a great find at the Weston rd Lcbo — 9 years ago

Really quite fine. Subtle melange of red grapefruit pith, honeydew, kiwi, and underripe papaya. There's a methol-herbaceous veneer across the wine, but none of the obnoxious asparagus water or jalapeño notes that characterize more clumsy pyrazine management. While the 14.5% alcohol will be too much for some, there's a great texture that comes from it. And hey, there are more than a few vintages of the Cotats and a few Dagueneau wines that are 14%+...Just a pillow of low toast, well-integrated oak and creamy (malo?) texture. I weirdly could maybe use more oak because of how vibrant the fruit is... — 9 years ago

2006 Liger- Bel Air La Romanee Burgundy. Date night at Rd. Decanted 30 min before leaving and decanted again at table. Def got better in the glass as it is so young. K noted to decant for a couple more hours next time. — 8 years ago
