This was top 10 chardonnays for me. Buttery, creamy but not a butter bomb. Drank this with the Baer’s in Lake Bluff thanks to Scott Garrett — 8 years ago
I loved this!! I could even taste the cherry, chocolate and oak. — 9 years ago
Had this a Maple Bluff for Valentines Day dinner, very nice — 10 years ago

This was the 2010 vintage - very, very good Aussie red — 12 years ago
This wine has scored really well, and I can see why. This Reisling is what Finger Lakes is all about. Very impressed with this effort. Nose is very clean with white flowers, smashed Macintosh Apple and honeydew melon. Very dry on the palette, citrus notes, finish is medium but lags elegantly. — 12 years ago
Found this at Green Bluff... Now on sale?!? Win-Win — 13 years ago
Made in Bordeaux but played like a Burgundy. Ripe fruit, rich texture, fine barrel integration, holding its pants even at a temperature around 10-12c.. considerable length - over 20 seconds. Price as jumped since last vintage, so did the quality. This wine can bluff a Burgundy amateur in blind tasting that's for sure; it does feel like a wine from Puligny. — 8 years ago
Enjoyed Black Friday morning on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Sea Ranch, CA. Much better than shopping! Now (7PM) Hendrix our Standard Poodle is knocked out after another day in Paradise. A romantic day. Nice mousse and almond aftertaste on the wine. — 8 years ago
Husband and I just bought this home from a trip to Naramata, BC - Canada. While I like whites for curry they're not normally something I invest in. This was delicious and the perfect accompanying white for a chicken and prawn curry. — 10 years ago
Beautiful place and nice wine. Balanced. — 10 years ago
Richer heavier, one would have not thought this a muscadet! Briney, savoury, would have been great with some rich oysters (Bluff Oysters perhaps?) — 11 years ago
Enjoyed with wife and friends on the bluff overlooking the ocean in SLO. — 11 years ago
Very nice. Bold in its acidity and fruit but still nicely balanced. Profile looked more to Sancerre than NZ. — 11 years ago
Truly a lovely wine. Restrained nose of citrus and white fruits echoed in the flavors. Oak present but in balance with the overall picture. Long finish. None of the defects common in this vintage. Happy to have more on hand. No need to rush to drink them! With Big Bluff chicken roasted on the BGE, chanterelles and heirloom green beans. — 12 years ago

I remember reading once that this wine was a star among peers in an otherwise difficult vintage. I haven't tasted enough 1994s to know how difficult the vintage was, but that it is a star is clear enough. Dark, slightly cloudy, terrific depth and complex with an almost creamy texture. It was a treat to taste, especially from magnum, though it was under the saddest of circumstances. Many wine loving folks in New York gathered yesterday at City Winery to celebrate the life of Jean Luc Le Du, the respected sommelier, wine retailer and community pillar. The warmth among all was palpable, as everyone shared great love and appreciation for a terrific guy who was taken too soon. — 8 years ago
Beautiful with roast lamb. — 9 years ago
Color of dark ruby with hazy purple on the rim. Nose of mocha, peppery spice, abuse, rustic graphite, and a bit salty note. Taste of powerful tannins, herby and grassy notes, a bit chocolate , and sour cherries, make me believe it has potential to age. Aftertaste of some hotness from the alcohol, and graphite, but not much more. Is is missing the pillar of aftertaste, maybe the wine is still young? After breathing for half an hour, the fruit notes show up and balance the spicy notes. It also adds the sweetness, like dates and cherry jam in the aftertaste. I kept revising the score from 9.0 to 9.2 to 9.4 after 30 minutes/1 hour of breathing. — 9 years ago
On 2/19/16 valentines weekend in Chattanooga at the bluff inn at the back inn restaurant, after a nice walk and a beautiful sunset.

I think I just saw my childhood summers go by in this rhubarb parade. 88 cases, le sigh, as they say in Montreal. — 11 years ago

Very good willamette Pinot. More Burgundian. 2008 is an amazing year for Oregon. — 12 years ago

Well, I did not expect to be tasting this on a Monday morning - but the Kermit Lynch tasting is always full of surprises with both steals and icons. This falls under the latter category. Structured by a backbone of dusty tannins and a pillar of acidity, this proves less austere than I am used to with young Méo wines. Medicinal cherry, ginger, tarragon, and earth. What a way to start the week. — 8 years ago
