Pierro better known for its brilliant Chardonnay but this is quite a good Pinot Noir. Notes of burnt toffee, varnish and sappy plum notes. Lovely balanced palate with soft tannins. Good juice. 2009 vintage. — 9 years ago

Opened it an hour before drinking and it was extremely smooth and tasted beautiful — 9 years ago
A great example of modern Australian Chardonnay. Winemaker David Bicknell says the Lusatia Park vineyard provides tension. Flavours are in the lime and grapefruit spectrum and a little lean for my palate preferring the more fleshy stone fruit styles of Leeuwin and Pierro. 17.5+ — 10 years ago

On flight from Dubai to Singapore. Pierro vintage reserve Chardonnay , 2013. Nice green tints with the light lemon gold. Comes across quite restrained , oak is nicely balanced with ripe apple , citrus , maybe a touch of pineapple or passion fruit. In the mouth , ripe fruit again , apple and citrus, but also grapefruit, mineral also perhaps. Quite focused, well balanced though there is a creamy richness that makes me think that there must be a reasonable amount of alcohol, full bodied. Long finish , nicely balanced acidity but due to the richness of the wine it doesn't give real refreshment, this is serious Chardonnay however. A good , enjoyable wine though may not be able to finish more than a couple of glasses! — 8 years ago
