Lemon zest and pear, crisp with good acidity — 6 years ago
High score for enjoyability not complexity. Grainy fine tannins, real verve & energy, cassis/currants. Johannes find. — 8 years ago

Very nice wine. Tasting very good just after opening, hopefully will open up more as the evening goes. — 9 years ago
An earthy cousin of Malbec. Very distinct taste. — 9 years ago
Deep ruby, bilberries and blackcurrants then, on the palate, tannic, oaky notes bob up. Fortunately these dissipated as we enjoyed the wine with our meal.
Made in the seriously hot year, 2003, by very young vignerons who continue to impress!
The, early, Nomacorc used has held up well too. — 10 years ago
Magenta color. Threw small amount sediment. Perfumed floral nose of violets. Light to medium bodied. Tart raspberry & cranberry. Super high acidity (?VA) was a detractor for me. Couldn’t tame it with food. — 5 years ago
Sorrel, raspberry, blackberry, brown sugar, slight lavender smell, color is dark purple not clear, taste is acidic, jammy, with a good tannin base hidden by sugars, the acid mixes well with the jam and greats a woody metallic fruity finish — 6 years ago
Belle découverte... vieillira très bien... l’encre au nez et de belles touches de mûres et cassis en finale ...

Organic wine made from pure concrete vat and no oak. Tart light berries with this strange finish like milled down kernal of rice and wheat grass — 7 years ago
Manages to feel light and fresh with its rich, ripe body and dark fruit. — 7 years ago
This is good. More delicate than the "regular", but also more haunting. — 9 years ago

Last winery on day two in Sonoma was Troika Wines with Jeff, Noel and Ari. Last wine was their Mount Veeder Merlot.
Deep ruby red. Lush nose with cinnamon, violets, dark berries, jasmine and a little bit of bramble too. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and a medium plus body. A bit earthy on the palate with some dark plums, blackberries and sweet spices. Dry medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2024. (91+)
$$ - Tasted at the winery with Noel, Jeff and Ari. Release price is $50.00. — 7 years ago

Lovely and complex white burg Montrachet for a Saturday lunchtime charcuterie plate. Soaring acidity with stone fruits that’s balanced by the fattiness I love in a good white burg. The bouquet has some ethereal qualities that make it so fun to just nose for quite some time - stone fruits like apricot and peach. Long finish. No complaints here — 5 years ago
