One of the best Chianti I tried despite being relatively cheap. — 5 years ago
1.5L bottle served side-by-side to the Pian Del Ciampolo. Splash decanted and returned to the bottle prior to serving. This was obviously the more modern of the two with darker fruit and pronounced baking spices. More round and full than the PdC. Yet, this was divine and a fantastic comparison...so much fun actually. Anyone that might balk at the modernity would be making a serious error. This is an honest wine that is beautifully made. Drink now or over the next ten years. — 6 years ago

— 11 years ago

Really nice and smooth; a nice accompaniment to panforte di Siena. — 9 years ago
French oak. Smells like my grandma's toaster and she stuck a mixed berry Jane in and it was burnt. High acid, medium heavy body, bold oak that still gives you that kinda low sugar berry pie that's been in the oven for a bit longer than needed with muted fruit and a meatier kinda body. Fun wine. But get it with some food. — 9 years ago
Really enjoyed this wine. Distinctively Pinot Noir and Italian at the same time. — 10 years ago
Classic. Awesome. — 11 years ago
1982 Piero Talenti Brunello di Montalcino. Vibrant garnet color, with barely any bricking. Complex nose of dried red fruit, leather and spice. Soft on the palate, with a great presence through the finish. This bottle is in perfect condition and showed beautifully. — 5 years ago
Bright. Tannins. This has some legs. — 6 years ago
2015 vintage. Drank in July 2017. $14.55 CAD. Pale to medium yellow with presence of very tiny bubbles. On the nose; fruits and yellow Lifesavers (lemon candy). On the palate: fresh and crisp, pineapple. Very much enjoyed and would buy it again.
2015 savouré en juillet 2017. $14.55CAD. Jaune pâle à moyen. Odeur de fruits et de Lifesavers jaune (bonbons aux citrons). Frais en bouche et ananas. J'ai très apprécié et récidiverais. — 8 years ago
Was a little reticent aromatically, then it opened up and what was there was amazing and elegant and complex. Like spiced plums and lavender, with some red cherry too. A huge step up from the pian Del campolo, but a price fraction of la pergola. Definitely want to try again! Great bottle, @Max Kogod — 9 years ago
2005, killer. — 9 years ago
Lots of herb and grass. Still need to mellow out. Burly tannins still! — 10 years ago
Warm and nutty. This bottle will go quick. It's like pecan pie in a glass. Great example. Slight bubbles. — 11 years ago

Pian Dell’Orino Vigneti del Versante Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2014: Smooth & elegant. Lively acidity. Medium tannins. Nice cherry bouquet. Red fruits. Leather. Herbs. Earth. Powerful long finish. All in all, I love this Brunello! Call me a creature of habit but this is my happy place. Grilled marinated skirt steak and a bottle of Brunello! Great weekend to all! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
