This wine is brilliant. Tricky label to photograph hense the back label. Front says LE only....Soft floral white pepper stone fruit just gorgeous! — 9 years ago
In my glass tonight. This bottle is challenging to photograph, but it looks pretty funky laying on a white surface, yes? This Ehlers Estate Sauvignon Blanc is 100% estate, 100% organic fruit from a single vineyard. Handcrafted in stainless steel and neutral French oak, it is aged sur lie for six months, which imparts a creamy texture and mouthfeel. However, the floral aromatics, purity of fruit, and juicy acidity take center stage. $28 at ehlersestate.com. (Sample) — 9 years ago
2012 vintage; one of the hardest labels to photograph but a very easy wine to enjoy. Super clean, super tasty with nice weight, focus, mouthfeel and freshness. #windgap #sonomacoast #chardonnay — 10 years ago
Wanted to photograph the 2001 Musigny tried at the same time. The Bonnes-Mares was good, the Musigny was a knockout. — 12 years ago
An excellent wine. However, the wine in the photograph has not been recognised by this app so go by the photograph until the correct description is uploaded. — 8 years ago
Wow. Twelve year old Sauvignon Blanc. Light amber / honey colored. Still kicking strong with lots of flavors coming through over time in the glass. I had to decant this through a sieve due to a dried out cork. The nose has Meyer lemon peel, barrel toast, and oak. The palate is very textured; zesty white grapefruit, kiwi, and lime up front followed by lemon oil, almond, brioche, beeswax, petrol, menthol, orange rind. There is an echo of richness, like a faded photograph. It's trying to hold its own against the lovely acidity, but seems to be losing the battle. While this will continue to provide great enjoyment over the coming 5 or so years, I feel it is beginning the downslope of its existence. What were you doing in the late summer of 2004? — 9 years ago
Impossible bottle to photograph... — 11 years ago
Delectable- this is actually the Musigny, not the Les Amoureuses. First of a bracket of 6 Grand Crus from Morey-Saint Denis and Chambolle Musigny. The other 5 as it turns out I Di not photograph and have in put the notes from Searching on Delectable. When done this way the notes for some reason do not feature in my news feed but they do feature on my Tasting Activity. More perfume than Gevrey Chambertin. Plummy intoxicating aromas with cherry. Not giving as much on the palate which has latent power which will be revealed with decades of cellaring. Very good. — 8 years ago
Incredible. I think Portuguese wine is so underrated. This had the complexity of a Barolo. Tannic but elegant, the fruit still present even at that age. Coworker said it drinks like a sepia photograph, love that. — 9 years ago
The label is impossible to photograph. This is the Michaud 2010 Pinot Blanc, Chalone Appellation, The Pinnacles National Monument, Monterey County. Creamy, rich & fairly complex, reminiscent of vieille vignes. Color is darker than most whites. Notes of honey or honeysuckle, peach and green apple. Unusual, very interesting yet drinkable. — 10 years ago
Name is "Tushur Rigol, Schame Travai". Impossible to photograph! — 12 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Over 30 years ago, Jack Cakebread came to photograph the Napa Valley for a book, one thing led to another and he found himself making an offer on the vineyard that later became Cakebread Cellars. Wonderful fruit aromas with soft spice notes. Cherry and raspberry flavors with black tea spice, pepper and mineral tones. Fine tannins, great mouthfeel and balance. Give this more time to develop. — 8 years ago
