This is the Tibaani bottling.
On the nose there’s a wonderfully complex mix of treacle tart, apricot pastry, sticky toffee pudding, Manuka honey, warm terracotta pot, flapjack, gingerbread, yellow raisins and toasted almonds.
The palate shows spicy apricot, turmeric and gingerbread character, the tannins are sapid, firm but chalky and quite fine, certainly a wine that works best with food.

Definitely some funky waxiness with just the right amount of acid. Surprisingly easy to enjoy without being obvious. — 4 years ago

Smooth and supple with a hint of sweetness without any heaviness — 6 years ago
Nice orange wine from Georgia. Gives the impression of sweetness without actually being sweet. Some real grip without tannins, sort of an interesting orange wine mouthfeel. Nice. — 7 years ago
This is as good as Bordeaux gets. Pure perfection in a glass and got even better with an hour+ in the decanter. Wonderful earthy notes, Forrest floor, leather, spice, faint menthol and bell pepper, floral, cigar and some dark fruits finished with the kiss of God and a drop of angel tears. One of the few wines I've ever had that I would rate 100 and an epic experience. — 8 years ago
Thought it would be fun to check in on the 2017 "Classico" while I patiently wait for my 2017 Riservas to arrive (long story). Popped and poured; enjoyed over several hours out of Burgundy glasses. In the glass, the wine is deep ruby color with a transparent core. Medium+ viscosity with no obvious staining of the tears. On the nose, ripe cherrys with tar, herbs and organic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium++ tannins and medium+ acid. The fruit set is confirmed and despite the firm structure, comes across almost round and chewy. She thicc. Long finish. The 2017's are drinking well right now and noticeably better than my last note. Have confidence these will drink well through 2032. — a year ago
Popped and poured, the 2020 Cinsault pours a bright ruby with a transparent core; slight staining of the tears. Medium viscosity. Redolent of red and purple flowers, strawberry, orange, coffee, dried herbs, spices. It’s dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. The finish is savory. Fresh. Juicy. Awesome. This is what Sandlands is all about. — 2 years ago
Great vintage great value. Juicy mid pallet gives way to a very nice long finish. Mostly Merlot so you don’t get much oak or spice. You taste the true dark fruit that comes from ancient old world vines. This wine is a dArk, rich purple color to the rim. No staining on the tears. Notes of soft baking spice, clove on the nose. All around beautiful Bordeaux bottle. — 4 years ago
Dry, tannic, smoky finish — 5 years ago
So much subtlety going on with this wine. Lots of flavors from great fruit and great minerality. Lots of complexity that is super fun to unpack. Definitely have the sensation of never being able to taste all of the flavors in this. — 5 years ago
delicious, but not for everyone. have an open mind and discover. some funkiness on the nose. earthy on the palette. super dark in color, you could dye clothes with it, but not too heavy, it’s really more a med-bodied wine. good tannins a little acid. some chalkiness. anise. dark fruit. buy again from fermented grapes. — 6 years ago
What a powerful and layered extra anejo. Aged in whisky and brandy barrels 9 years. Definitely introduces barrel complexity. — 7 years ago

I was finally really impressed. It's so dense with a deep nose & long cherry finish. Its fruitiness is nicely balanced with wonderful long breath. Full body & complex wine, art of winemaking process like its label designed by Portuguese fashion designer. It cries in the glass, but they are tears of happiness :), tastes pretty mature, round, even and reach in taste - so drink now, it is ready & you will not regret it. — 9 years ago
A deep red yellow. Smells like fish by the sea. Juicy fresh flavor with texture. — a year ago
opaque, very dark ruby, prominent glass staining tears; lifted aromatics, black cherry, cassis, lavender, menthol, cardamom, sage, oregano; very concentrated, ripe red and black fruits, long finish with nicely textured tannins; full bodied, dry, prominent tannins, medium + acidity, 14.7% ABV; made from blend of 55% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot; $200 — 2 years ago

Popped and poured; consumed over three days. The first half of the bottle was enjoyed on Day 1 and the second half was enjoyed on Day 3. Best on day three when it freshened up and had time to stretch its legs. The 2000 Tignanello pours a deep garnet color with a slight orange-ish rim; slightly turbid with an opaque core. Medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, deep ripe, black cherry fruit with leather, pipe tobacco, teriyaki, espresso, and earth. On the palate the fruit and non-fruit characteristics are confirmed. The wine is dry with medium+ tannin (which has all but integrated) and medium acid. Finish is medium+. A lovely 23 year old Tig that, remarkably, benefits from a good breather to get its best. Drink now with an extended decant but will continue to hold for at least another 5-10 years given good cellar conditions. — a year ago
