Oiliness, wool, lemon oil.
Citruss fruits (lemon), stonefruit (white peaches), white flowers, dandelions, viscous and textured like lemon oil. Waxy.
A bit of honeycomb and then a slight bitterness of almost like biting into an herb or like dried sea buckthorn, even.

Opened just prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. As far as I know, this was the first commercially released vintage of La Fleur de Boüard but others may be able to confirm or deny that. The 2000 pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe dark fruits: back plums, cassis, pipe tobacco, Flintstones vitamins, purple flowers, dried green herbs organic earth and fine baking spices. “Yabba dabba doo!” On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Gosh, this is in a really lovely place right now; very well balanced! Thank Andy! Drink now through 2040. — 8 months ago

We love this one… probably a new favourite. We bought it at BJ’s — 6 months ago
2013 vintage. The second wine of La Chapelle, that is now named " Maison Bleue", but an excellent wine in its own right. At 9 years old this is absolutely gorgeous with an expressive nose of blackberries, wild flowers, pepper and leather, enhanced by a subtle smokiness. In the mouth it combines power with elegance, with pure fruit, subtle spices, silky tannins and great length. Terrific value if the mythical La Chappelle doesn't fit your budget. Excellent wine. Full of depth and flavor. Fruit forward. — 9 years ago
Definitely needs to open up. Was sweet on the first sip. Significant fruit tones at the outset and got dry as it opened. I would give it a good half hour and drink and enjoy. Solid choice. — 9 years ago

농축된 검은 과실향 속에 카카오60%쯤 되는 다크 초콜릿, 오크와 바닐라가 어우러져 있고 탄닌이 강하게 두드러지지않아 쉽게 마셔졌던 와인 — 9 months ago

A good wine. Oak, a bit of chocolate, dark fruit and cherry. Pretty dry but smooth enough that easy to drink. — 4 months ago
