Jammy. Nice tannin. Deep if simple bouquet. I liked it. — 10 years ago
Fine light white burgundy, good minerality. Not as good as the company!!! — 10 years ago
Rich, earthy, complex, but delicate. Perfect burgundy — 11 years ago
Rustic and complex, super good . — 11 years ago
Pale lemon with aromas of citrus and stone fruits, aged for 14 months in French oak, 20% new. On the palate apple and lemon flavors with hints of sweet spice. Long rich finish, well balanced with lively acidity ending with minerality. Very Nice! Tasting Sample. — 6 years ago
A little sister to the corton Charlemagne. The rollin family always offer superior value for the price. — 7 years ago
A bottle I had a couple of years ago was much more expressive than this one. This needed aggressive swirling and lots of air to coax the aromatics. The palate had a nice core of cherry fruit that became more apparent the more air it received. — 8 years ago
Still a bit tight, but good balance of citrus, mineral and oak. I love this style of burgundy — 9 years ago
So rich, balanced, but the amount of oak is a little over-powering. — 10 years ago
Elie!! Love! — 10 years ago
2011. Nice side by side of two Javillier reds - I liked this one a touch better. This one had more complexity on the nose with some cherry pie spice, potpourri, cinnamon, and cola.. Dark fruit and a touch of earth on the palate.. Quite a nice bottle actually for the price. — 10 years ago
Color is a bit pale, almost looks like aging wine, but the taste proves the opposite—extremely light, open, drinkable bottle. Lots of oak, cherry and tobacco. Tannic, but in a pleasant way. I wouldn't like this wine on any other day, but tonight it turned out to be the perfect choice for lighter Burgundy. — 11 years ago
Great experience at Social in Charleston, SC — 12 years ago
Excellent Chardonnay - lemon curd, white peach, floral notes on the notes. Acidity is just right and ends in a long complex finish that lingers. — 6 years ago
Good tannin, fruit and spice. Almost N Rhone like. Delicious. — 8 years ago
14 December 2016. Vine Wine, Brooklyn, NY. — 9 years ago
On the nose...raspberry, cranberry, light touch of strawberry, hint of vanilla, earth? On the pallet the dry cranberry hits with a hint of minerals, spice, cinnamon, raspberries, cranberry. A nice acidity that's not over bearing, with silky tannins. It's definitely young and needs time to decant or age in the bottle for a few more years. Solid buy for the price. — 10 years ago
Crispy, nice — 10 years ago
Tight. Great minerality. Feels like it could go on forever — 11 years ago
11 Pernand Dubreuil "Berthet": cool, crisp aroma of berry , menthol and touch of animaux. Palate screams Cote de Beaune w lithe sinewy light weight body supported w firm tannins. Well structured, flavour intensity sufficient. — 12 years ago

We made 2 mistakes with this wine: drinking it too young and not giving it more time to air. A couple of hours decanting would have been ideal. The wine cannot be faulted for either of those! When it finally opened, a very nice treat indeed, after initial herbaceous impressions dissipated. Lovely wine really. — 5 years ago
