BLackbear Orchard vineyard. Over the top green chili aromas. I swear it's like pepperjack cheese. Extremely unique but not for everyone. — 10 years ago

Very much like the 2011, maybe a little better. Lots of green chili pepper flavors and cream. Smells like cheese and jalapeños. Behind the vegetal complexions is a hint of sour fruit. Really fun Cabernet Franc, happy I get to pour it, definitely funky.

A somewhat attractive damp cellar nose when first opened, giving way to brooding dark fruit. So smooth at this age, and plenty of life left. Oak and fruit in balance with good structure and, sure enough, a nice touch of pepper. It was great with a t-bone. A consistently great performer with several years' bottle age - be patient! — 9 years ago
