So talk about having low expectations. My waiter at La Fenice in Toronto "moved" me from a $120 bottle to this $50 bottle of wine and WOW it was sensational. Oh, I love this wine so much, I call it Denzel. Every single time I talk a client into having this at their event or table -- they love it. It is perfect for compromising different palates when only one wine can be had... Merlot lovers, Pinot snobs, Cabernet aficionados ... They all can get along with this blend. Mother's Day was perfect. And realistic. It meant doing dishes, laundry, and making four beds before 8am. But it also meant having an impromptu dance party with my Mom and my twins in her bathroom before 9am. It was a day devoid of cancer talk, acknowledging the obvious with extra long hugs, but choosing to embrace the moment and be hopeful there will be many more Mothers' Days with my Mom. This Vin Perdu was an excellent ending. Earthy and maybe even smoky vs what I have been drinking (because it's on fiiiyyaaa🔥) Heidi Barrett - need I say more - you know how I feel about her. This is wine to pour for those last remaining Francophile snobs who think they will never enjoy a bottle from --GASP --outside of France or surrounding vineyards. I know, there are thankfully not so many of these people left, but the point is, this tastes like a classic, pre-oakification, totally quaffable " let's have this with some rich, wintery food" sort of beverage. If you don't like this, we will have to find something else to talk about.

Amazing Brew, Excellent example of a truly great west coast IPA, this is the reason beer lovers from other countries are seeking out these fine brews, Germany was always the true brew masters, but even Germans are giving high praises to brew like this one, talk to people in the UK and they are blown away my this brew and others from Firestone and Stone, Balast Point, really great to see this happening here in the Great USA, Proud to call this brew as OURS! — 11 years ago

Rich and mature. Hmmm. Makes me second guess the sponti talk on Mosel rieslings - I reckon it's probably to do with SO2. Quite a bit younger than the german rieslings in our little study the other day, but so much more advanced. Or maybe it's the sugar that helps with longevity in the german stuff.
Waxy, honeyed, floral, petrol notes, with the green apple and pear fruit playing second fiddle. Hint of aldehydes. Mineral and weighty. It was delicious! — 8 years ago
