Penultimate bottle of a half case. The first bottle was initially very disappointing, particularly given the vintage, but that impression fades with patience. It's tempting to think this is a few years too late, but interestingly the more air this takes on, the more fruit shows itself to balance the formidable tannins. Penultimate bottle of my case. Ripe red fruit is still prevalent, but the flavor has deepened and any sharp edges (there weren't many) have faded away. Possibly even more delightful than I remember. Wish I had more than one bottle left. — 8 years ago
