Lovely taste. Gorgeous view. Very nice people here. — 8 years ago
Red currant and sour cherry - and I know everyone else is getting ash, but we're going to go with graphite. Tannins still quite present, but lovely. Would love to see how this is in a decade, tho super now! — 9 years ago
Need time down high acid level, needs to smooth out. You can taste a nice wine underneath. — 9 years ago
Smoky, ash. Fruit still full, feels young — 10 years ago
Just love this wine. White stone fruits complemented by a salinity and hints of ash. Complex and interesting, but absolutely delicious... — 11 years ago
Medium-full bodied Pinot. Had it with a garlic-crusted roasted pork shoulder & held up quite nicely - even with all the garlic. Loads of dark cherries, spices, & bacon on the palate. Good tannins. Would like to try it in about 5 years to see how it's doing. — 8 years ago
Ash, pepper, blackberries and raspberries. Medium-light body and good lift. Simple but focused, pure and super pleasing. If there was just a bit more mid palate depth this would be a stunner. As it is, and at $16, it's a tremendous value and beautiful Chinon. — 9 years ago
Dry light with a hint of fruit and ash. Nice wine — 10 years ago
Pork. Smoke. Ash. Yurm. — 10 years ago
Like a natural gamay, without the floral tones. Lively, vibrant, with lots of acidity (thx to volcanic ash). Tannins come on strong at first, but the dryness is swiftly wiped out by a splashy, salty waterfall. Savory and funky, and perfect with lighter fare (veggies, poultry). — 7 years ago
Good winter Pinot, given depth and body by the Syrah. — 8 years ago
Never go wrong at Penner Ash. Dark fruits, a little vanilla and spice. Delicious. — 9 years ago
2010 vintage. At Pearl & Ash on the Lower East Side (amazing wine list) with Kish. Deep ruby hue. Blackberry, leather, earth and savoury spice. Lots of white pepper and pencil shavings. Youthful. On the palate, great piercing acidity, medium plus concentration, medium alcohol, medium plus crunchy tannins. Long savoury finish. Really shouldn't have opened as this is still a baby. Clearly big and bold. Don't open until 2025+. Will drink forever: 2040+. — 9 years ago

Another great btl of 70 PC. Classic Graves personality showing sweet red fruits, cedar, saddle leather, cigar ash, mineral, iron & dried herbs. Fully mature that should drink well for many years. — 7 years ago
