Love love love Tabor Hill. Excellent wines and fantastic restaurant. Bought this cab franc with my mom at their satellite store in Saugatuck, MI on her birthday weekend. Smoky, bold flavor yet super enjoyable. — 12 years ago

Made with Concord grapes base in a vineyard near Lake Michigan. It is a sweet wine with hints of guava. It's perfect for sharing with friends while relaxing after a long day. One of my favorites wines from Michigan! — 12 years ago

The swamp smoke rose from the bottleneck as a stew of sediment was revealed through the phone light. Tea biscuit and ginger snap with molasses, burnt caramel and peanut brittle are conjured in turn, with coffee cake loaded with walnut. The palate invites with a yielding smoothness and teetering, sweet fig and date, but behind it, tea tree oils, resinous paper, dark tobaccos half-smoked, copper coins, fruit cake, struck flint, burnt corn tortilla, charcoal dust, and a slow-smoldering engine smoke. He's a dirty old machine, but soft in the middle with nougat and an espresso-chocolate cream that borders on coconuts. After a drag through the scrub, we arrive in a grove of sweet fruits. Duplicitously integrated. #Founders #stout #barrelaged — 8 years ago

Better than I remembered. Incredibly reminiscent of right bank Bordeaux. Nice acidity too. Would do well to be put away for some time. — 9 years ago

The best of California style and New Zealand style in one bottle. Fruit and acidity without too much grassiness. Paired well with tomato mozzarella Basil salad. — 8 years ago
Black cherry, plum, just a little hint of pepper. Chocolate finish. Nicely balanced tannins. One of my favorites. — 8 years ago

One of my firsts, the wine that got me hooked into tasting and trying wine. Went great with the jambalaya I served it with, even without letting the bottle breath for long. Tart but had sweet notes at the front of it. Really a great table red wine!! — 10 years ago
