Wow: 16 years and drinking incredibly well. Classic older cab aromas - dried currants, leather notes - coupled with terrific balance. I can't believe how together this wine is after all this time. Just outstanding. This will probably last a few more years, but I really can't imagine this improving. Drink up and enjoy! β 7 years ago
Fantastic. Black fruit, pencil, cedar, spices. Long finish β 7 years ago
Delicious, long finish, light-medium tannins with mature fruit. β 8 years ago
Not as good as the 2002. Still damn good though. β 9 years ago
So good! Acidity with bright strawberry. Great summer sipper. β 9 years ago
Good quality chardonnay in the modern stainless steel style. A bit of peach and vanilla and a slight bit of clove late. β 9 years ago
Great for warm day. Tastes like an apple β 10 years ago
Great flavor with hits of earthy blueberry and slight spice. β 11 years ago
Totally shocked by this wine. It was good when we first tried it back in 2008, I think. Was half-expecting this to be okay initially then die quickly, but it is impressive. Great nose of dried currants mixed with leather - classic older cab - with some cool spice notes on the edge. Extremely balanced on the palate, great flavors and expansion, with a smooth, lingering finish. I have not been that impressed with the more recent vintages from Peju, but their older cabs are rockinβ it. β 6 years ago
This was difficult, the 2nd day was way better than the first day using Coravin.
Would need to retry this. β 7 years ago
The color reminds me of a stained glass church on a bright summer morning. Notes of Raspberry cheesecake start on the nose. Add black currants, cinnamon, pepper and tart cranberries. Tastes like a Dr Pepper!! Not overtly jammy, very soft tannins, perfect with smoked Gouda, truffles but not sharp cheese like pecorino. β 8 years ago
Nice sweet balance strawberrie β 8 years ago
2009-Retail $54; paid $44 with club discount; rich bouquet; great legs; medium body and slightly tannic finish; a little young; worth buying again and keeping another year or two. β 9 years ago
I wish I could always keep a bottle available. β 9 years ago

This wine was made exclusively for Whole Foods for this holiday season in collaboration with Peju Winery. Delish. β 11 years ago
Prety damn for a merlot! β 12 years ago
Deep pink in color, a white/red blend. Nose is sweet strawberries and cream. A light bodied, smooth wine, with a surprisingly long finish. I suspect a real crowd pleaser! β 7 years ago
Super good!

2011 - luscious bouquet; great body and legs, smooth long finish; a very nice "next level" Peju Cab definitely worth revisiting. β 7 years ago
Robust, bold, oaky and slightly fruity. This is a perfect wine. Thoroughly enjoyable. β 7 years ago
Just received in wine club shipment and thought would give a try. I don't have the nose some do so will just say it was a very nice wine. Had some strong tannins and is a somewhat spicy wine on the back end. The second glass was much smoother than the first. I did enjoy the wine but not my favorite and probably a bit overpriced at retail. Would be interested to see how it drinks in 5 years though. β 8 years ago
Smoked prime rib dinner accompaniment. For 20 years old this wine is still vibrant.
Cassis, coffee, black plum and vanilla aromas. Tip-of-the-tongue sweetness with buoyant cranberry, toffee, and framboise.
Finish lingers mid-palette for a good while. Great wine but I need to finish off the few bottles left of this wine in the cellar. β 8 years ago
Good memories of the Peju winery experience so gave the girls of the same name a go. Liked last years: light, ripe strawberries and watermelon. Like this years: still light, deeper "stewed strawberries" and dark ripe raspberries. Always good chilled in the summer as opposed to a heavy cab when it's just too hot. β 9 years ago
Great summer wine. β 9 years ago
Good wine with lots off fruit still. The first bottle was corked. But number two was delightful. β 9 years ago
Love it. Even more than the regular zin they have. β 11 years ago
