2012 Ardeche Syrah at 12.5% alc. apparently about as natural wine as one can get in a Rhône. Only the tiniest punt of sulfur used. This took plenty of time to open up. Better the second evening with garrigue, blackberry tort, and a tab bit of sour cherry on the nose. Palate shows some succulent tannins and a surprising bit of acidity. — 11 years ago
