I had this as part of my club shipment but hadn't gotten around to opening it right away. What a pleasant surprise it was when I finally got around to it. My wife used the aerator and I did not but after a little time sitting open it was just as good without. The first thing you will notice is the deep rich color that's so good you think you should be able us it for a royal gown. I love a jammy and intense wine. I wasn't disappointed. Lots of fresh raspberry on the nose when opened and then turned into softer mesmerizing dried fruit, mushroom and chocolate. High acidity on the palate, medium body with quite some tannin in the background covered by this fresh fruit and acidity. It is approachable now and certainly has a couple of years before it peaks. — 9 years ago
