This is a 2011 vintage. Brilliant golden yellow, of medium hue and intensity. Phenomenal nose of aromas of latex and lime peel, and limestone. Great presence, with very, very long passage and array of flavors. Phenomenal acidity with great grip on the palate that really makes you salivate. Very food worthy wine. This Albariño shows lemon, lime and lanolin on the nose, with a whiff of apricot. The pale color is that of golden straw, and the palate comes forth with a mighty acidity and a mouthful of green apples, on the tart side. Mrs A and I have been to Mexico many times and always enjoyed, the people, the sites, the food, the beaches, the adult beverages an of course the many wonderful Mexican beers. Sitting up here in the mountains on a hot summer night we can only dream of the many times we have enjoyed a Dos Equis Amber with salsa and chips. This will never be mistaken for a Canadian, but this is truly one of the most refreshing beers around on a hot summer night in the Canadian Rockies.
