Good citrus and stone (slate?) flavors. Just enough sweetness to balance out the minerality. — 9 years ago

Brambly blackberry, cassis, violet and lavender flavors. There's a lovely pastoral character to the wine that reflects the evocative landscape from which it is born. Chalky with excellent structure. — 8 years ago
Excellent! Romantic, floral, a hint of watermelon. This wine easily transports me to a British garden, at a cafe table with a pretty tablecloth, bees humming and birds singing all around me. Somewhat cliche, but so pastoral that it brings me to a deep state of contentment without any effort. Vino di Vino.
D: lemony, a little fizzy, transports him to.....to a place where he can tune out my line of questioning about how this wine makes him feel. — 8 years ago

Honey, herbs. Pastoral. Perfect. — 9 years ago
A wine that begs the question, is it a rosé? The 2013 Angelicall from cult producer Antica Terra and is crafted using unconventional methods, including a week-long maceration on the skins and twelve months aging on the lees. While still translucent and ruby-hued, it shows astonishing, almost brooding concentration and insanely intense aromatics, evoking pastoral images of the forest—salmon berries still on the vine, underbrush and tatty climbing roses. On the palate, silky layers of rhubarb, tart pie cherries, hibiscus and spice. — 10 years ago

A blend of Macabeu, Garnatxa Blanca, Xarello, Muscat, and Malvasia, La Vinyeta - one of Empordà's most innovative young estates - delivers a delicious entry-level white. Saline and resinous, with flavors of dried honeycombe, yellow apple skin, and wilted wild flowers - there's a textural rusticity that seems to capture the pastoral charms of Catalonian farmland. — 7 years ago
