Dark cherry, plum, dried spice — 5 years ago
I love when you put your nose in the glass and it’s so easy to say Burgundy.
Expressive nose of mixed berries, violets and earth. All the parts gracefully integrated. Drinks great now and upside ahead. Happy to say this wine is not suffering from the ‘09 heat. — 5 years ago
Incredibly smooth, floral nose with berry tongue explosion. Started with this one and was great without decanting. Great start to night with friends. — 6 years ago
Austere and harsh but in a good way and needed decanting time. I’m actually excited to drink Maranges. Read about this village recently and watched couple interesting vids. Awesome — 7 years ago
Fantastic finish with toast and cream, long and interesting. One of my faves. — 8 years ago
Started off a little tight.
Great earth, sour dark cherry, the silkiest of tannins. Lengthy finish and med+ complexity.
Really great wine. — 9 years ago
Any enterprising UK importers want to take on this stellar cru communale Muscadet?
Subtle and refined with watermelon and candied blood orange bouquet. Fine persistent flavour. Sort of like the very best Macon whites without any oak influence. — 10 years ago
Fruit development is a little advanced but the structures are very impressive — 12 years ago
Pear or cinnamon?, liquor like aroma and flavor. Nuts. Sour. White flower. 2018 @1350, domaine -, 210316-210510 — 4 years ago
Apple that had begun to rot in the cider bin (in a good way!) minerals and balanced oak integration. A very long and complex finish. — 5 years ago
Good mineral. Citrus. Stone fruit. Flinty — 5 years ago
Freaking delicious plenty of fruit, tannin and acid. Age has treated this wine kindly and this magnum was drinking so well I was even more happy to know I have its sibling in the cellar still — 6 years ago
Very nice 2015... approachable now, but with a nice stone backbone, red cherry, tea leaves, cola nut. Perhaps a smidge watery, but still delicious. — 7 years ago
Very smooth - not a lot of after taste. — 9 years ago
I am not a Raley's shopper but stopped by for a few things while at Home Depot and was pleasantly surprised by their import selection. Found this gem along with a Trimbach Pinot Blanc and Thierry and Pascale Matrot Burg Blanc, all for under $20 per bottle! I will be back. This Perrin family wine (partners with Kermit Lynch) is a super good, affordable Cotes du Rhone for everyday drinking. — 10 years ago
Great medium bodied, spicy burgundy — 4 years ago
Great flint on nose — 5 years ago
really pure fruit and exceptionally long green apple / apple juice finish. definitely feels young, needs another few years to mature but delicious nonetheless! — 6 years ago
I will tell you , I love all of Gramenon wines, some are just nice to drink others are monolites, La Papesse is one of those, big, full, delicious and somehow georgeous too, a real treat, If you like first class grapes from the region, another hilarious nice grapedelicious one go for Pascale😎This is vintage 2016🍷 — 7 years ago
