I discovered this saturated ruby '01 Paringa Shiraz 'Individual Vineyard' buried in the recesses of my cellar. Somehow it was never logged into my inventory. Although it ranked 40th on the 2002 Wine Spectator Top 100 List, it was an entry-level wine not meant for extended cellaring. What a pleasant shock when I lifted the decanter to my nose. Huge cherry, blackberry and oaky vanilla scents floated up. Then a plush palate of dark fruit and spice flavors followed. Best $10 I've ever spent! — 10 years ago
Excellent aroma yet fresh. A little too sweet? — 10 years ago
This is a wine I was in raptures over when tasting at the vineyard but not quite as tasty as I remember it, still, very nice, textual, lingers, goes great with steak. — 12 years ago
Awesome body and structure. Great length and a touch spicy. — 9 years ago
Yum! Rich and delicious. Agree with other note. Bruised apple with core bitterness , dried apricot and really good acid balance. — 9 years ago
