Fresh, delicious red — 2 years ago
Delicious. — 4 years ago
All around pleasurable and with good character. Well produced with minimal reduction at the start. — 4 years ago
Just lovely. Nose of cherry pie, extremely dry and tanic, with the finish of dark chocolate. — 6 years ago
Required almost 2 hours of decanting. It was quite the experience because this Barolo continued to evolve and provide new flavours throughout the night. Plums, figs, berries, strawberries, raspberries, followed by vanilla, oak, humidor notes, earth, mild herbaceousness, truffles. Tannins are big, chewy but soft and persist for a long time. It’s a complex wine that provides gifts of new flavours that are very well integrated. — 7 years ago
Tannin rich and heady on the nose - this is a serious orange wine for red wine fans. — 9 years ago
We love this. The best organic red yet. Medium light, smoky, with dry finish. — 11 years ago
One of my favorite — 12 years ago
Classic Barolo via the stellar 2010 vintage (now +15 yrs). Medium / pale garnet and pours to a transparent center. Pop-and-pour to taste, with a much needed 2-hour decant to follow. Bone dry, high tannin and medium+ acidity, just like I like it. Tons of dark red fruit; this is drinking exceptionally well now, but would certainly benefit from 10-15+ more years in the cellar as the nose continues to develop. The finish is long / strong and heavily structured; simply a gorgeous expression of the Rocche dell’Annunziata Riserva! — 9 months ago
Always delicious. Drinking well for such a young Barolo — 3 years ago
2017 vintage. Pinot noir weight, body and color. Strawberry and raspberry flavor components up front. Cracked black pepper, tar, parched earth and blackberry on the finish. Tannins afoot but not frighteningly so. Opened a little early but still harmonious. — 4 years ago
Full, earthy, good — 6 years ago
Dry, deep, slightly fruity — 8 years ago
Lovely peach tone. Citrus crisp. — 9 years ago
Smooth. Fruit forward. Easy to drink. Bright fruits. — 11 years ago
2020 Vintage. Surprised that this had a good amount of acidity which made it a great match with food. Loved it. — 10 months ago
Another great Langhe Nebbiolo. Great food wine. — 10 months ago
Very much on the light side. Smooth. — 3 years ago
Great Italian Pinot with a long cherry aftertaste, really nice blackberry flavored and earthy taste. This worked really well with Moroccan spiced chicken fire roasted eggplant and couscous. — 4 years ago
Tannins have some nice silky structure. Cherry is full flavored with medium-long length. But boozy of a nose — 5 years ago
Quite possibly the most reduced wine I've opened all year. Like curling up in a tire factory. But. After an hour, a beautiful, light, red fruited and amazingly aromatic wine emerged, grounded by hot rocks and Sicilian spirit. Nice value and killer pizza wine. — 9 years ago
Delish! Medium bodied yumminess table wine. Great with food. — 11 years ago
Love this Falanghina white grape. Crisp & citrus tastes. Found this at Total Wine for under $12 — 11 years ago

Opened and decanted shortly before dinner; enjoyed over the course of two hours. The 2019 pours a very rustic looking, deep straw bordering gold color; medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with lovely notes bruised and dried fruits: dried apricot, bruised yellow apple, candied oranges, yellow flowers, herbaceous (rosemary?), and old wood. And yet there’s a freshness there that is undeniable. On the palate, the wine is dry with low tannin and medium + acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is very long. Another vintage of Lapideus and another beauty from Giampiero. These wines make me think and each time I get to enjoy one, I’m reminded of why wine can be so special. Drink now through 2029.
