A powerful wine but the tannins have completely integrated themselves and the mouthfeel is soft and elegant. Tertiary notes are starting to show but it still has a good amount of acidity to balance out the ripe fruit. Wow! — 7 years ago

Almost impenetrable, viscous; dry black berries, prunes, tree bark, menthol, uplifted and pleasantly volatile. Well educated but raw. Big, juicy, chewy, balanced. Raised in demijohns a-la rancio style. Still quite classic. — 9 years ago
