Deliciously drinkable alone, I just keep forgetting that I drank it. It has structure; it just keeps falling anonymously in with the pantheon of other Pinot Noir's I have drunk recently. — 11 years ago
Great wine that we enjoyed sitting in front of the Pantheon in Rome! — 12 years ago

In my pantheon of Amarone, this doesn't rate too highly. Dark ruby to purple in color, smoky sulfur nose absent much fruit, sweet attack (15% as evidenced by ample sheeting down the glass), subdued fruit is at dark plum/dark berry, medium grip, medium+ acid, slightly chewy, persistent finish. I expect a lot more from Amarone. Not a lot of complexity, depth, or richness. — 11 years ago
