The bouquet of cherry blossoms and sweet rose petal was so inviting, 90 minute decant and this was ready to go, silky smooth entry, leather, cedar and sweet ripe red fruit. This excellent Sangiovese is unfiltered and has a maroon rather than ruby tint. It is slightly fuller of body than your typical Sangio and extremely polished, and worked well as a pairing with vegetable pasta dishes, with chicken sausage on the side.
