Interesting you mention this as I had the opportunity to taste Barbi Riserva 2004 and 2006 side by side in recent months, and the 2004 seemed more evolved than simply being 2 years older. 2004 is seemingly a riper vintage, in general, and lower acidity may be more apparent in second decade of life.
