NV Sunday bubbly from 84% chardonnay 12% Pinot Nero 4% Pino Bianco. Smell with fresh grapefruit, almonds, citrus impression, light brioche. Very pure taste with great Granny Smith apple acidity. Very good effort, this Franciacorta! 30 months sur lattes. — 4 years ago
— 5 years ago
Un Bordeaux avec l’accent espagnol!! Sans les accents de terre/tourbe ... un peu plus léger et légèrement plus sur le fruit! Sublime!

Muscadet reminds me of the sea. Especially the nose. This one is lean- wine strained through crushed sea shells- little briney. Bone dry. One of the best muscadets I’ve had. — 6 years ago
Raspberry vinaigrette to raspberry sorbet, cran-boysenberry, white mushroom explosion; great nose! Freeze dried strawberry and powdery grape, but herbaceous plenty throughout, with allspice and oregano and sprigs of kitchen sink. Raspberry both dried and reduced bring home the long finish! .

Biodynamic. Aged in amphorae for 18 months, revealing all the quality of the grape variety, without aging notes:
Malbec: black plum, eucalyptus, menthol, chalky, coffee roast, caramel. Opulent and fresh with a lingering finish of complexity. Very nice bottle, to be enjoyed with savory dishes as well as with chocolate-type desserts. Gastronomic !
Biodynamic.
Gastronomique.

Another delicious and super approachable 100% mourvedre from Ryan Pease of Paix sur Terre. For those who don’t know, Ryan has a friend who does all of the original artwork for these labels. Great operation there - do yourself a favor and check them out! — 4 years ago
This is actually Ryan’s “Been Away Too Long” bottling, a 100% mourvedre sourced from Denner. If you don’t know these wine, do yourself a favor and try a few bottles. In my opinion he makes the best pure mourvedre outside of France. Unlike most mourvedres, Ryan’s are elegant - more like a grenache - but with great depth of flavor. His wines are very approachable when young, but definitely put on some weight and depth with a few years in the bottle, so my rating will absolutely go up with time. Terrific wines from a small, excellent winery in Paso. Check it out! — 4 years ago

Wow. Terrific wine from Ryan Pease at Paix sur Terre. Bright, beautiful aromatics, and terrific balance through and through. I’m a huge fan of what Ryan does with his mourvedres…but his whites might be even better. Awesome. — 4 years ago
